Power Electronics Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Power Electronics Engineer to join our growing team and lead the next phase of innovation in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role is a unique opportunity to mentor others, shape product architecture, and eventually grow into a Director-level position.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop high-power (1kW+) power electronics systems including inverters and converters
• Lead technical reviews and system integration to ensure products meet grid standards (UL 1741, IEEE 1547)
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers
• Contribute to PCB layout and design at the kilowatt power level
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure performance, compliance, and manufacturability
• Support a full BESS product redesign as the subject matter expert

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of relevant power electronics design experience at 1kW or greater
• Experience with DC to AC conversion, inverter/converter controls
• Background in solar, battery systems, or generator integration
• Familiarity with grid codes (UL 1741, IEEE 1547)
• PCBA design experience at high power levels
• Strong communication skills and mentoring ability

• Experience developing full BESS systems
• Leadership in technical architecture
• Interest in future growth into a Director role
