Salary: $100,000 – $150,000

My client is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer with experience in control system design, configuration, and commissioning for industrial applications. This is a project-facing role involving customer interaction, team coordination, and hands-on delivery across multiple sectors (GMP, batch/continuous, pharma, specialty chemicals).

Key Responsibilities:

• Define system architecture, I/O structure, and platform configuration with client teams
• Develop lifecycle documents, control logic, wiring diagrams, and panel specs (GMP standards)
• Configure PLC and DCS systems (Rockwell, Siemens, DeltaV, etc.)
• Redline P&ID drawings and generate loop diagrams, interlocks, and cause-effect matrices
• Perform testing, FAT/SAT, and on-site commissioning (travel required, ~20%)
• Mentor junior engineers (typically 1–3 per project)
• Manage full scope of small–medium size projects across multiple sites
• Support proposal writing and change order development

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years in automation engineering
• Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle projects
• Strong communication skills in both team and customer settings
• Proficient with one or more major control platforms (PLC/DCS)
• Experience writing proposals and contributing to project sales phases
• Familiarity with control system standards and validation in regulated industries

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.S. in Electrical, Computer, Chemical Engineering or similar
• Knowledge of Rockwell, Siemens, DeltaV, OSIsoft, WonderWare, Intellution
• Experience with process control, combustion control, and SCADA systems
• Understanding of process safety, documentation practices, and network architecture
