We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Controls Designer to join our team in New Brunswick. This is a hands-on design role involving the development of control systems, instrumentation layouts, and electrical schematics for industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design of control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and component selection for power and instrumentation
• Develop I/O lists, junction box layouts, loop diagrams (per ISA), cable schedules, and installation details
• Create BOMs and instrument lists based on P&IDs
• Assist in PLC system design and component selection
• Support panel assembly and participate in factory acceptance testing
• Produce control logic diagrams, interlock diagrams, and cause-and-effect charts
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to meet project and customer requirements
• Participate in redlining schematics and field commissioning (travel approx. 5%)

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant experience in electrical design and instrumentation
• Knowledge of industry standards (NFPA, NEC, IEEE, NEMA, IEC)
• Familiarity with troubleshooting AC (up to 600V) and DC circuits
• Hands-on experience with panel assembly and installation
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Windows applications
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical education preferred)
• Must be a US citizen with a valid driver’s license and passport
