A leading building automation and controls specialist is seeking an experienced Systems Field Engineer to join their team in the Chicago area. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working in the field, delivering high-quality Building Automation Systems (BAS) solutions across commercial and industrial environments.

The Role
* Perform point-to-point checkout and system verification on BAS and HVAC control systems
* Carry out startup and commissioning of zone and building control systems
* Modify system graphics and download DDC control programs
* Troubleshoot and resolve system issues across mechanical and electrical components
* Produce and maintain accurate documentation including as-builts and commissioning reports
* Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
* Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and internal teams

You
* 3+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems or Controls Engineering
* Strong experience with Siemens Desigo programming
* Solid understanding of HVAC systems, DDC controls, and control theory
* Experience with system programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and field operations
* Knowledge of electrical systems and control wiring
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
