We are seeking a motivated Building Automation Sales Representative to grow our presence in the Orlando and Central Florida market. This role focuses on selling building automation systems, energy management solutions, and smart building technologies to commercial, institutional, and industrial customers. The ideal candidate has a strong technical sales background, understands HVAC controls, and excels at building long-term customer relationships.
Develop and execute a sales strategy for the Central Florida territory, with emphasis on Orlando and surrounding markets
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with building owners, property managers, contractors, engineers, and consultants
Sell building automation systems including HVAC controls, energy management, analytics, and integrated building technologies
Build and maintain relationships with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, and end users
Prepare proposals, pricing, and sales presentations in coordination with engineering and operations teams
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract close
Track opportunities and forecasts using CRM tools
Stay current on BAS technology trends, energy codes, and smart building innovations
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
3+ years of sales experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or related technical systems
Strong understanding of BAS platforms, HVAC systems, and energy efficiency solutions
Proven ability to sell consultatively in a competitive commercial construction and retrofit market
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally within Central Florida
Experience selling systems such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Tridium Niagara, or similar
Established relationships with Orlando-area engineers, contractors, or property owners
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
Experience with design-build and plan-and-spec projects
