Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 base + commission (negotiable)
Our client is a high-performance building automation systems integrator focused on delivering cutting-edge solutions that optimise comfort, energy efficiency, and operational insight for commercial and institutional buildings. As an authorised partner of Distech Controls, you will be selling and supporting a leading suite of intelligent BAS technologies used in modern facilities worldwide.
We are seeking a Sales Engineer specialising in Building Automation Systems (BAS). This is not a generic sales job - it's for someone with deep understanding of building controls, integrated systems, and the value these technologies bring to clients.
You will:
Drive BAS sales growth by engaging with consulting engineers, facility managers, developers, and construction partners
Translate complex system requirements into technically sound, cost-effective proposals
Work collaboratively with internal engineering, design, and delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility
Support value-added pre-sales activities including demos, technical responses, and solution configuration
Lead technical sales engagements throughout the sales cycle
Analyze client needs, review specifications, and architect tailored BAS solutions
Develop proposals, scope documents, and competitive pricing
Deliver technical presentations, comparisons, and ROI justification
Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key customers
Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM records
5+ years experience in BAS sales, systems integration, controls, or related field
Strong technical competency with heating, ventilation, and building control systems
Ability to read and interpret mechanical/controls drawings, specifications, and sequences
Consultative approach with strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable explaining complex systems to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Engineers and technicians with strong system knowledge interested in transitioning into a sales-centric technical role are welcome to apply.
Competitive base salary: $100,000-$110,000
Commission plan (negotiable)
