Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 base + commission (negotiable)

The business works closely with consultants, contractors, and end users to deliver efficient, compliant, and scalable building systems.
We are seeking a Sales Engineer with a strong technical understanding of HVAC systems. This role is suited to someone who can operate confidently at both a technical and commercial level, acting as a trusted advisor to clients.
You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, shaping solutions, and supporting the full pre-sales process across HVAC projects. The role combines new opportunity development with ongoing client and consultant engagement, depending on your strengths and experience.
Provide technical sales support across HVAC and projects, from early engagement through to contract award
Interpret mechanical and control system specifications, drawings, and sequences of operation
Develop compliant, cost-effective solutions in collaboration with engineering and delivery teams
Prepare detailed proposals, scopes of work, and pricing for HVAC and automation systems
Engage with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, and end users to influence system design and solution selection
Support value engineering, system optimisation, and retrofit opportunities
Maintain accurate sales forecasting and opportunity tracking
Assist with project handover to engineering and delivery teams to ensure technical continuity
5+ years' experience in HVAC, BAS, or building systems sales
(We will also consider engineers or technicians with strong system knowledge looking to transition into sales)
Solid technical understanding of:
Commercial HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, VAVs, boilers, heat pumps, etc.)
Building Management / Automation Systems
Controls architecture, networking, and field devices
Ability to read and interpret:
Mechanical drawings
Control schematics
Specifications and sequences of operation
Strong communication skills, able to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Direct experience selling BAS and HVAC control systems
Background in:
Mechanical engineering
Electrical or controls engineering
HVAC commissioning or service
Familiarity with retrofit and live-building environments
Experience working alongside consulting engineers and mechanical contractors
Base salary of $100,000 - $110,000, depending on experience
Commission structure available and percentage negotiable
