Compensation: $90,000-$115,000

Overview

This position is for an engineer who specializes in central utilities and thermal plant automation - the systems that keep large facilities running safely and efficiently. We're looking for someone who has engineered, programmed, and commissioned automation systems for boilers, chillers, and plant utilities, not simply monitored or operated them.
You'll support utility systems for power plants, hospitals, universities, and industrial campuses, working closely with operations and process teams to deliver reliable, scalable automation solutions.

What You'll Do

• 
  Engineer and program DeltaV DCS systems for boilers, chillers, and central utility plants
• 
  Lead or support system commissioning and go-live activities
• 
  Design control strategies for thermal and utility processes that support facility-wide operations
• 
  Interface with generators, substations, and balance-of-plant systems as part of utility infrastructure
• 
  Troubleshoot, optimize, and modernize existing utility automation systems
• 
  Work directly with customers to support long-term operation and improvement of utility assets

What We're Looking For

• 
  Strong background in central utilities, boilers, chillers, and plant systems
• 
  Proven experience programming and commissioning DeltaV systems
• 
  Understanding of thermal process control and utility plant operations
• 
  Experience supporting large facilities (power plants, healthcare, higher education, industrial)
• 
  Willingness to travel up to 25%

Nice to Have

• 
  Exposure to power systems, substations, or generators
• 
  Familiarity with DNP3, IEC 61850, or SEL equipment
• 
  PE license in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
