Salary: $80,000 - $105,000

Position Overview

A leading Building Automation and HVAC Controls company is seeking an experienced Controls Technician to join its team at a dedicated commercial site.

This is a site-based role, focused on the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning of low-voltage Building Automation and HVAC Control Systems.

The successful candidate will work closely with the site and project teams, taking a hands-on approach to maintaining and supporting the building's control systems. Strong technical ability, professionalism, safety awareness, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Work primarily from a single commercial site, supporting the building's Building Automation and HVAC Control Systems.
• Install low-voltage cabling, sensors, controllers, and control panels as required.
• Wire and terminate low-voltage control panels and associated devices.
• Configure field controllers and upload or modify pre-written applications.
• Perform point-to-point checkout, troubleshooting, and commissioning of control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with Building Automation and HVAC Control Systems.
• Work closely with project and site management to ensure control systems are operating correctly.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Organize and coordinate on-site activities and material requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the team when required.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in Building Automation and HVAC Controls installation and troubleshooting within commercial environments.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain any required security clearance.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

• Experience programming Building Automation and HVAC Control Systems.
• Tridium Niagara 4 Technical Certification.
• OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 Certification.
