A leading facilities and building services provider is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanical Technician to support maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC systems across a large, multi-building site in Chicago. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with strong experience working on large-scale mechanical systems, who enjoys troubleshooting, maintaining equipment, and working closely with controls teams to ensure optimal building performance.

The Role
Inspect, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including:
* Chillers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems, Pumps, fans, heat exchangers, and cooling towers
* Perform mechanical troubleshooting, testing, and system verification
* Carry out routine maintenance including replacing belts, valves, motors, and pumps
* Support startup, shutdown, and coordination with BAS/controls teams
* Monitor system performance and respond to mechanical issues
* Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
* Support emergency and after-hours repairs when required

About You
* 5+ years of commercial HVAC mechanical experience
* Strong experience troubleshooting large HVAC systems
* Holds a Mechanical Journeyman License
* EPA-certified for refrigerant handling
* Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision
