A growing building automation and controls organization is seeking an experienced Controls Designer to join their engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong Controls Designer looking to work across the full lifecycle of Building Automation System (BAS) projects. You'll play a key role in supporting system design, coordinating project documentation, and providing technical support throughout engineering, installation, and closeout phases.

The Role
* Review project plans, specifications, addendums, and sales documentation to develop complete project scopes
* Attend customer meetings and site reviews for design-build projects
* Support development of controls submittals and system engineering documentation
* Design and engineer systems using Visio, Excel, and project design tools
* Generate equipment layouts, floor plans, and control drawings
* Review mechanical drawings and coordinate with project teams and architects when required
* Create, manage, and track RFIs and design revisions
* Develop and manage valve schedules, damper schedules, and project materials
* Coordinate controller, software, workstation, and project equipment ordering
* Provide technical support to field teams, subcontractors, programmers, and technicians
* Prepare and maintain as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and closeout packages

About You
* Experience working within Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or controls engineering
* Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
* Experience using Visio, Excel, and engineering software tools
* Understanding of controls systems, system layouts, and project coordination
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and work across cross-functional teams
