Job Title: Senior Field Technician/Engineer
Location: Albany, NY
Salary: Up to $90,000 annually

A full-service systems integrator is looking for a Senior Field Technician/Engineer in Albany to support a transitioning engineer and work on a variety of projects, including water and wastewater systems. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in PLC troubleshooting, VFDs, motors, and control systems, while learning from a seasoned professional.

Key Responsibilities:

• Field Support: Troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems, VFDs, motors, and control equipment at customer sites, with a focus on water/wastewater projects.
• PLC Logic & Modifications: Amend existing PLC logic to resolve system issues or improve performance.
• Customer Interaction: Serve as the point of contact for service calls, escalating issues to senior engineers when needed.
• Learning & Mentorship: Work closely with an experienced engineer, gaining knowledge in controls, instrumentation, and commissioning.

Qualifications:

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting, VFDs, and motor control.
• Familiarity with water/wastewater systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
• Interest in learning and growing into a Service Technician role if coming from an instrumentation background.
