Automation Engineer – Houston, TX

Salaried Position (Overtime Paid at Straight Time)

We are seeking experienced Automation Engineers to join our Houston-based team to support a range of industrial automation projects. The ideal candidates will have strong experience working with both PLC (Allen Bradley, Siemens) and DCS (Honeywell, DeltaV, etc.) systems, and be comfortable in client-facing roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, program, and configure PLC and DCS systems from scratch.
• Design control system architectures and develop supporting documentation (P&IDs, IO lists, control narratives, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and modify existing control systems.
• Lead or support site commissioning and startup activities.
• Interface directly with clients to understand requirements and ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline teams throughout project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of automation experience, including hands-on work with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell, or DeltaV systems.
• Strong understanding of industrial control system design, logic development, and commissioning practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
• Strong communication and client engagement skills.

Additional Details:

• This is a salaried position with overtime paid at straight time.
• Some travel for commissioning and client site work may be required.
