Electrical and Instrumentation Designer – Contract

This is a great opportunity to join an owner/operator in the industrial and chemical sector. This is a long term contract W2 position with an hourly rate and benefits. This is an opportunity to work as part of an engineering team designing new greenfield projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design LV and MV electrical systems
• Create cable schedules, tray layouts, and wiring diagrams
• Develop instrument installation and DCS panel drawings
• Coordinate with multiple teams and review vendor documents
• Interpret codes, specs, and review sub-contractor designs
• Provide technical input and report to the Engineering Manager

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in industrial or chemical facilities
• Associate or Bachelor’s in a technical discipline
• Skilled in AutoCAD or BricsCAD, with 3D modeling familiarity
• Strong understanding of P&IDs and electrical code

CAD Deliverables Include:

• Single-line diagrams, panel layouts, grounding plans
• Cable/conduit schedules, tray BOMs
• Heat tracing and analyzer panel drawings
• I/O and power distribution diagrams
