Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

Salary: $100,000–$120,000

Job Summary:

Seeking a detail-oriented engineer to support the design, programming, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems for fluid bed equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design control panels, junction boxes, wiring diagrams, and loop schematics (ISA standard).
• Develop BOMs, I/O lists, cable schedules, and instrumentation layouts from P&IDs.
• Specify and select instruments and control components per project specs.
• Program PLCs (Allen Bradley) and develop interlock logic, cause/effect, and control diagrams.
• Review drawings for code compliance (NFPA/NEC, IEEE, NEMA, IEC).
• Coordinate with panel builders and support system testing (FAT/SAT).
• Provide field support including commissioning and installation oversight (~5% travel).

Qualifications & Skills:

• 10+ years in instrumentation and control systems.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting skills (AC/DC circuits).
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of industry codes.
• Field service and plant experience a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; strong communication and organizational skills.
