Electrical Engineer (6-Month Contract)

Rate: $60/hour

Our client are a 25-year-old, family-owned engineering firm specializing in electrical and automation design services for the substation power industry. Their small, experienced team delivers high-quality, practical solutions to major power and automation projects across the U.S.

The Role

We’re seeking an Electrical Engineer to support ongoing design projects on a 6-month contract. You’ll work directly with customers to coordinate design packages, review drawings, and build models in design software. This role involves working with high-voltage systems and collaborating closely with the owner and other engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate electrical design packages and build plans

• Review customer drawings (stamp if PE licensed)

• Create and refine models using AutoCAD Electrical

• Support projects involving 69kV–500kV systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field

• EIT certification or willingness to pursue PE

• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical

• Knowledge of high-voltage systems (69kV–500kV)

Desirable:

• PE License

• Experience with SolidWorks
