Senior Project Manager (HVAC & Mechanical Systems)

About the Opportunity

A leading provider of advanced HVAC and building technology solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of large-scale mechanical systems projects. This role is responsible for managing complex projects from handover through completion while ensuring exceptional customer service, strong project execution, and effective coordination between clients, contractors, engineering teams, and manufacturing partners.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing commercial HVAC or MEP construction projects and enjoys working in a client-facing environment where communication, organization, and problem-solving are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Manage the execution of multiple HVAC and mechanical systems projects from initiation through closeout.
• Develop project schedules and coordinate logistics to ensure timely equipment delivery and installation.
• Monitor project milestones, budgets, risks, and overall performance.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular progress updates.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with owners, contractors, consulting engineers, and subcontractors.
• Understand project requirements, construction schedules, site logistics, and customer expectations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact throughout project execution.
• Resolve issues quickly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Field Coordination

• Visit project sites to monitor progress and ensure work is completed in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate technical resources and field support as required.
• Assist with commissioning activities, troubleshooting, warranty coordination, and project closeout.
• Represent the business professionally during meetings and on-site interactions.

Commercial Support

• Identify opportunities for additional services, upgrades, or future project work.
• Work closely with sales and technical teams to support long-term customer relationships.
• Ensure contractual obligations and project deliverables are achieved.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience managing commercial construction, HVAC, or MEP projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building systems and project management practices.
• Experience working with contractors, consulting engineers, and building owners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and technical resources.
• Experience reviewing project specifications, schedules, and construction documents.
• Comfortable working on active construction sites.
• Ability to climb ladders and access mechanical equipment when required.
• Familiarity with commissioning, warranty support, and post-installation project activities.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment and the use of common hand tools.
