Project Engineer

W2/1099 - Contract - 6 months onsite - Lincoln, NE - $65 per hour

Junior through to Senior

We are looking for a hands-on Project Engineer / Project Manager to support a range of small to mid-sized capital projects across laboratory equipment replacement, utility infrastructure upgrades, and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience managing technical projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Projects will include replacing aging lab equipment (no lab rebuilds), upgrading end-of-life utility systems such as electrical and generator equipment, and leading automation efforts in partnership with IT—particularly around BMS and control systems. Candidates should be technically capable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
• 1–5 years of relevant experience
• Background in lab, utilities, or automation projects preferred
• Strong communication and coordination skills
