Controls Engineer - Contract (6 Months)

$55-$65 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for a 6-month contract role at an automotive manufacturing facility in Cleveland, Ohio. This position is 100% on-site with no travel required.
Responsibilities
- Program, troubleshoot, and support Allen-Bradley PLCs
- Perform electrical design, hardware design, and controls programming
- Support a variety of automation projects, including:
- Bespoke turnkey automation systems
- Integrating new code into existing control architectures
- Repairing, modifying, and upgrading legacy equipment
- Work hands-on with production equipment in a fast-paced automotive/engine manufacturing environment
Required Experience
- Strong experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming
- Prior experience in:
- Automotive manufacturing and/or
- A Ford plant and/or
- Engine manufacturing facilities
- Ability to handle full-scope controls responsibilities (design through commissioning)
- Comfortable working independently on-site
Work Location & Per Diem
- 100% on-site at the Cleveland, OH facility
- No travel required
- For non-local candidates, Ohio state per diem applies:
- $159/day lodging
- $80/day meals
